Kicking Off Hush Puppy's Third Season with Buffalo Nichols and Jeff McCreary
Hush Puppy Music Co-op is thrilled to announce the launch of its third season with an incredible night of live music on Tuesday, October 24, 2024, at Old City Hall in Greenwood, MS. Headlining the evening is rising star Buffalo Nichols, a singer-songwriter from Milwaukee who has been making waves in the music world with appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. His unique blend of original songwriting and old-school blues techniques promises to make this a show to remember.
Buffalo Nichols is currently on a worldwide tour, with stops this month in North Carolina, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi. After his Greenwood performance, Nichols will head west for shows in Portland, Seattle, and even a January stop in Madrid, Spain. His global reach and genuine artistry bring a special energy to the Hush Puppy stage.
Local talent Jeff McCreary from Cleveland, MS, will open the evening with his soulful songwriting, offering a perfect complement to Nichols’ bluesy sound. As Hush Puppy organizer Dan Splaingard shared, “It’s going to be a great show—Jeff’s a gifted local songwriter, and Buffalo Nichols is a world-class artist. You won’t want to miss it.”
Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased at the door. The show kicks off at 7 p.m. at Old City Hall, located at 121 Main St. Everyone is invited to come out, enjoy the music, and learn more about Hush Puppy Music Co-op, a nonprofit dedicated to bringing live music to Greenwood.
